DIABETES death rate is growing at a faster rate than even cancer and cardio-vascular diseases. In the chart, you can see it grew 50% from 2000 to 2012 and will double from 2012 to 2030.
In the US in 2015 alone, 97,000 amputations of limbs were done from untreatable diabetes effects.

Sir Frederick Grant Banting KBE MC FRS FRSC (November 14, 1891 – February 21, 1941) was the diabetes specialist who gave us insulin and got the accolade, awards and Nobel prize in 1923.
1926 Frederick Banting was told of the success of the tea curing a patient with Diabetes. He agreed to work with the founder of the tea to cure cancer if she worked with him in his lab, gave him all the honours for the results, and stopped helping cancer patients. She graciously declined his very magnanimous offer.
